Responsibilities of Off-duty Armed Security Officers include, but are not limited to:
Required Qualifications of Off-duty Police Officers:• If Active, able to provide Verification of Employment as a Full-Time Peace Officer
• If Retired, able to receive Firearm Control Card (FCC), or maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), FOID card, and comply with required laws• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50 lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
Pay and Benefits for Off-duty Police Officers:
• $40 per hour based on experience and location
• Paid time off and paid holidays and medical, dental, vision and disability insurance for qualifying employees• Skills-enhancing training
