Job Title: DSP (Direct Support Professional) for Adults with Special Needs.

Location: Chester County, Montgomery County, Delaware County, Berks County, Bucks County, and Lancaster County, PA

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (flexible hours)

Pay: $19 - $21 an hour

Job Description: As a Community-Based DSP, you will play a pivotal role in providing a positive and inclusive environment for our participants. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with adults with diverse abilities in their communities, helping them lead fulfilling lives. Must have valid driver's license and a car.

Responsibilities:

· Community Engagement: Facilitate engaging activities, outings, and experiences that promote social interaction, skill development, and personal growth within the community.

· Personalized Support: Provide one-on-one assistance to participants with daily living activities, including but not limited to meal preparation, medication management, and personal care.

· Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of participants at all times, including responding to medical emergencies and following all safety protocols.

· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of participant progress, behavior, and individualized goals as required by regulatory standards.

· Advocacy: Act as an advocate for participants, ensuring their voices are heard and their choices are respected in all aspects of their lives.

· Communication: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care and support.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).

· Prior experience working with adults with diverse abilities is preferred.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Compassion, patience, and a commitment to the well-being of others.

· CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

· Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
