RealREPP is Hiring a Claims Examiner Near Cheshire, CT

RealREPP is seeking a dedicated Property Claims Examiner to oversee property claims across various jurisdictions. In this role, you will conduct thorough investigations, evaluations, and negotiations while adhering to established claims management standards. Your responsibilities will include managing outside adjusters and legal counsel, recommending reserves, and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and evaluate property claims in a timely manner, while managing external resources as needed.
  • Document files and prepare reports promptly and accurately.
  • Direct settlement negotiations using problem-solving skills.
  • Handle assigned cases efficiently to resolution, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze coverage and recommend appropriate reserves based on liability assessment.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Review invoices and documents for accuracy and legitimacy prior to payment.
  • Prepare written status reports for various parties involved in the claims process.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Insurance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive property claims handling experience.
  • Active all-lines property/casualty adjuster’s license.
  • Familiarity with relevant case law and statutory regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience in compliance implementation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AIC designation.
  • Experience in auto claims handling.
  • Knowledge of the Public and Affordable Housing business.
