Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and evaluate property claims in a timely manner, while managing external resources as needed.
- Document files and prepare reports promptly and accurately.
- Direct settlement negotiations using problem-solving skills.
- Handle assigned cases efficiently to resolution, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze coverage and recommend appropriate reserves based on liability assessment.
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Review invoices and documents for accuracy and legitimacy prior to payment.
- Prepare written status reports for various parties involved in the claims process.
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Insurance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive property claims handling experience.
- Active all-lines property/casualty adjuster’s license.
- Familiarity with relevant case law and statutory regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience in compliance implementation to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- AIC designation.
- Experience in auto claims handling.
- Knowledge of the Public and Affordable Housing business.
