This position will respond to maintenance service requests. This role will also support continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all timesEnsure high standards of workmanship and efficiencyPerform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and toolsPerform Preventative and Scheduled MaintenanceFollow maintenance and facilities procedures for machine or equipment diagnosis and repairClosely monitor machines for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specificationsDiagnose defective equipment and hardwareAbility to see, report, and correct abnormalitiesPosition and install parts, subassemblies, and accessories using hand tools, power tools, and other aids like overhead hoistsWork in a wide variety of environments, spaces and heightsRigging, Lifting and Working at HeightsBolt, screw, clip, weld, solder, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipmentCut, drill, sand, plane and/or tap materialsGrind, scrape, sand, and/or polish surfaces using abrasive tools or machinesLubricate, clean, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and toolsDetect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine, controls, or control media within capabilities as required to ensure quality of productionMaintain clean and orderly work areas.Replenish and return materials as needed per request, visual indicators, or if found defective.Support continuous improvement efforts with the team and promote healthy, respectful communications.Document maintenance incidents as per department standard.Ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needsMaintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of dayDisassemble machinery/equipment when maintenance is needed, or repair requiredStudy manufacturer manuals/blueprints and carefully follow directions when operating or setting up newly acquired machineryPosition Requirements:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In emergencies, come up with quick solutions to get the plant up and running.Observe the routine operation of manufacturing equipment, develop an intuitive understanding, sixth sense or “feel” for the machine and quickly spot when something is not right.Excellent verbal communication skills – must be able to interpret reporting of maintenance issues and provide clear instruction or update about interventions or repairs.Written communication skills – be able to read and interpret maintenance documentation, manuals, and plans. Must keep clear and accurate records of routine testing as well as troubleshooting and repairs and keep required documentation up to date to ensure compliance with internal and external manufacturing guidelines.Plan and execute routine maintenance activities as well as respond to troubleshooting requests and unexpected equipment issues.Education/ExperienceTwo-year associate industrial maintenance degreeThe Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)Master Certified Electronics Technician (CET)EPA HVAC CertificationElectrical Technician Certification (EETC)Combination of experience, apprenticeship and/or technical degree in relevant field such as electrical fitter/welder, plumbing/pipefitting, HVAC maintenance, industrial maintenance fields.
