Spurwink is seeking an Occupational Therapist for our Chelsea Day Treatment Program. This position requires knowledge of and/or willingness to learn pediatric and adolescent assessment, treatment planning, goal development and intervention development/implementation.

DUTIES:
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing appropriate intervention services designed to enhance each client's potential for learning, support access to education, develop functional performance skills and develop skills in regulation within a mental and behavioral health day treatment setting. Candidates should have knowledge and willingness to learn pediatric and mental health approaches and have a collaborative mindset. The Occupational Therapist will work collaborative with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant on a daily basis to provide client-centered and individualized interventions. Experience and investment in a variety of disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, and Intellectual Disability is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must hold current certification through the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists (NBCOT) following successful completion of the national certification examination, or have intentions to complete this certification within a timely manner. Applicants must be licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Maine or otherwise plan to obtain this license in a timely manner.
