POSITION TITLE: Associate Designer
POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Designer will play a crucial role in supporting the Chief Product Officer, Senior Designers and Designers in their responsibilities and contributing to the overall success of design projects. This position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in design tools, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced and creative environment. The Associate Designer will support with seasonal market and trend research, design into cohesive collections, create visual assets, and support data systems. This person collaborates closely with cross-functional team members throughout the seasonal design process.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members throughout the seasonal design process including research, concept development, and design execution.
• Check on design deliverables, ensuring adherence to design standards and specifications.
• Build assets within meetings and complete up-to-date documentation within a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Designers and cross functional teams to address any design related issues or challenges and ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
• Work closely with the Chief Product Officer and Designers on specific styles, actively participating in fittings and gaining hands-on experience with the product to enhance design understanding and contribute to the development of high quality, aesthetically pleasing designs.
• Assist and create the preparation of design presentations and boards, including creating visual materials, organizing content, and ensuring a polished professional outcome.
• Conduct ongoing market research alongside your manager including color inspiration, trend, fabrics, prints, trims, hardware, and new craft techniques staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of design documentation including:
• Technical sketches- must have excellent CAD’ing skills (Illustrator/Photoshop/Procreate, if applicable)
• Print Design and Print Development (must be able to create repeats and recolors)
• Tech Packs/Design Cards
• Sketch Updates
• Product Assortment One Pagers
• Color by Style Files
• Lab Dip requests
• Color BOMs
• Technical Specs (measuring garments)
• Organizing and Expanding Sketch Library (Flats)
• Organizing Print and Stitch Libraries

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Product Development or Design emphasis.
• 1-2 years working in Design or Product Development.
• A Strong Design Portfolio.
• An excellent team player.
• Effective communication skills with immediate and cross functional team members, coordinating project related activities effectively on brand.
• Passionate creative with a collaborative mindset who enjoys working with various design members and exploring cross-category design work processes to ensure one brand vision is met.
• Able to foster a positive and productive work environment through effective teamwork and open communication.

PAY TRANSPARENCY: A reasonable estimate of the available annual pay scale for this position is: $58,000-$63,000. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
