Job Summary:
As an EMT at our EMS agency, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care during inter-facility transfers. You’ll respond to select medical and traumatic emergencies, as well as transport patients between hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes. Your professionalism, compassion, and clinical expertise will directly impact patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to medical and traumatic emergencies.
Provide basic life support procedures on scene.
Assess and stabilize patients in critical conditions.
Inter-Facility Transfers:
Transport patients between healthcare facilities (hospitals, clinics, nursing homes).
Ensure safe and efficient transfer of patients.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to maintain continuity of care.
Certification:
- EMT certification
- EVOC certification
Experience: Prior experience in emergency medical services preferred.
Skills:
Proficient in basic life support techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry patients (with assistance if needed).
Stamina to work long shifts and respond to emergencies.
