Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Beatties Ford Road Family Counseling and Recovery Center in providing essential support to individuals in need of mental health services. The ideal candidate will be stated licensed and have a passion for helping others and possess a strong background in mental health practices and patient care. This candidate will be responsible for providing therapeutic support to individuals dealing with mental health issues, helping them achieve emotional well-being and cope with life's challenges. This will be a contracted position.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate mental health needs and develop appropriate care plans
- Assist in implementing therapeutic interventions under the guidance of mental health professionals
- Monitor and document patient progress and behavior
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide support and guidance to patients in various mental health settings such as hospitals, clinics, or behavioral health facilities

Requirements:

- Experience or knowledge in applied behavior analysis, psychopharmacology, ICD-10 coding, social work, and psychotherapy
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and special education practices
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying mental health conditions
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards patients in distress
- Certification or degree in a related field such as psychology, counseling, or mental health services
