Job Title: Chemical Lab Technician
Location: Charlotte, NC, 28273
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Pay rate: $21/hr.

Job Description:

• Chemistry lab technicians assist chemists in their lab work.
• As time progresses, lab technicians are completing more tasks than previously
• performed by highly trained chemists.
• Technicians are responsible for monitoring chemical processes and testing products as part of quality assurance.
• Under the supervision of chemists and other team members, they perform repetitive lab activities, such as setting up lab equipment and preparing chemical solutions. Reports, and present their conclusions.
• This role is for the Architectural Coatings Technical Service lab.

Job expectations are as follows:

• Work on projects in the applications lab to evaluate dispersions,
• additives, and/or pigments in paint or colorant formulations to support internal and external customers as well as support product volume growth.
• Work with Chemists, Technical Specialists and other lab members to complete application testing and generate accurate data in a timely manner.
• Perform experiments following instructions set by the project requestor
• Make keen observations and be cognizant of opportunities
• Adjust experimentation and problem solve as needed
• Must be able to record and organize data
• Manage multiple projects at once
• Report results in a coherent and understandable manner test methods typical for the architectural coatings industries.
• The individual will need to be able to:
• Acquire a working knowledge of formulation practices and of application
• Perform lab activities required to maintain ISO, 5S, and safety compliance.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.92 - $25.20 per hour
