Job Duties:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards.

The ideal Superintendent:

· Coordinates with subcontractors, performs quality control, safety checks, and provides on-site direction when preparing construction sites

· Manages multiple crews, assigns each worker new tasks each day and checks their work for quality and productivity

· Clear communication and can give specific instructions on a job site according to the scope of work

· Coordinates materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers

· Manages site work projects and supervises the day-to-day operations directly involved in excavation and utilities

· Assess the resources needed to complete a construction project and reviews budgetary numbers to help set the project budget

· Observes all activities on a construction site and maintains a site log explaining the completed work and collaborates with estimators and project managers to review job estimates.

· Ability to track labor, supplies, materials, and other project cost to meet budget numbers.

· Meets with site specific personnel to discuss the job scope of a construction project

· Provide direction on operational issues on scope of work and provide alternative solutions.

Skills:

· Excellent communication abilities, both oral and written

· Knowledge of construction budgeting best practices

· Strong planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation and contingencies

· Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and maintenance

· Knowledge in OSHA 10, local, state, and federal construction regulations

· Great problem solver and decision maker

· Effective leadership abilities, including time management, delegation, prioritization and multitasking

· Proficient in Microsoft Office

Minimum Requirements:

· 18 years of age required.

· Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver’s license.

· Previous experience managing a construction team

· Knowledge of essential job skills and responsibilities related to a construction crew

· 8 years of civil construction

· Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations

This position reports to the Director of Construction Operations
