Wacker Chemical Corporation USA is Hiring a Logistics Specialist Near Charleston, TN
To strengthen our team in Charleston,
we are looking for you as a(n) Logistics Specialist.
The Logistics Specialist will manage, track and coordinate International Shipments.
- Work directly with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Carriers and Wacker locations around the world.
- Reporting, tracking and tracing for ocean container and air shipments to and from the US.
- File VNCR's with non-conforming International Suppliers and Logistics Service providers with root cause and corrective action resolution.
- Requires independent decision making related to logistical financial obligations including invoice review and approval on behalf of Wacker.
- Provide rate quotes to internal colleagues.
- Interface directly with Brokers/Forwarders and US Customs to make appropriate Customs entry filings, audit and maintain documents related to international shipments (Import/Export/Foreign Trade Zone).
- Determine and classify materials and equipment in the Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) to determine duty payable to US Customs.
- Maintain Export Control database and review flagged denied parties related to parties and/or individuals who have been denied export/ import privileges.
- Creation of Certificates of Origin (back up and/or primary) Certificates of Insurance.
- Back up duties for other team members as required.
- Optimize and automate existing policies and processes while considering compliance and efficiency as the primary goals
- Bachelors Degree in related field
