Job Title: Site Manager

Basic Functions:

The Site Manager provides general quality guidance to all managers and supervisors in accordance with the Quality manual. Provide essential training and resources. Solicits input from Administrative Manager and Supervisors to improve quality and make sound decisions regarding quality issues. Ultimately responsible for team performance. Responsibility and authority to serve as an ISO-9000/AS Site Coordinator, ensuring the GAA Quality System is established, implemented, improved, and maintained to current revision status at our other GAA facilities. The Site Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the facility and equipment.

The Site Manager is responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor scheduling, supervision, and proper utilization of apace, equipment, and manpower.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years direct experience in similar position.
  • Experience in warehousing management and broad knowledge of warehouse operations is necessary.
  • A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning. Able to operate a pallet jack/ stand-up pallet.
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, and climb. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day and overtime as required.

Education Re Educational Requirements:

  • College Degree Preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility.
  • Plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient manner.
  • Ensure product produced meets and/or exceeds the ISO-9000 quality standards.
  • Deal with quality issues in an efficient manner.
  • Provides detailed analysis on defects.
  • Initiates action to prevent and stop the production of non-conforming product.
  • Recommends improvements for plant processes, equipment, and facilities, which would improve the overall product quality.
  • Issue Quality Alerts and Bulletins to appropriate departments, when necessary.
  • Takes action to quarantine suspect material/product.
  • Protects and communicates the customers’ quality standards.
  • Acts as Customer Service Representative for quality and performs problem solving and corrective action analysis reporting.
  • Protects and communicates the customers’ quality standards.
  • Regularly reports the performance of the quality system for management review.
  • Coordinates/assists ISO 9000/AS registration audits.
  • Submits budgetary information to track and control expenditures.
  • Material Review Board Facilitator
  • Ensure Continuous Improvement Philosophy.
  • Responsible for day-to-day quality decisions regarding product on the floor.
  • Responsible for on-going maintenance of failure mode and effect analysis.
