State of South Carolina is Hiring a Development Events Manager (Administrative Coordinator II) #24106 Near Charleston, SC


The Development Events Manager helps the development team build community and business relationships for the college/TTC Foundation using events to cultivate and strengthen relationships with donors, alumni, students and businesses in order to increase philanthropic support. Responsibilities include managing the Development Office’s annual schedule of special events to enhance the college’s donor stewardship and fundraising efforts; developing and managing all event activities including budget, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and other logistics. Discover Trident Tech! This position requires a high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required working experience. Preferred candidate will have a bachelor's degree and (3) years of relevant experience in event management, public administration, or administrative services; or an associate degree and, (5) years of relevant experience in event management, public administration, or administrative services. The preferred candidate will have experience in managing events in a higher education setting. Candidate will have demonstrated experience and knowledge in all aspects of event planning and management.  Knowledge of Raiser Edge, Net Community, Website content management software and Event/ Auction planning software is highly referred. Candidate will also have demonstrated success in corporate sponsorship solicitations, charitable auctions, and donor stewardship. The candidate is expected to display initiative, self-direction, cooperation to detail and strong organizational and planning skills. Must be able to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment with diverse populations. The candidate must also possess a high proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms and the ability to learn specialized programs to include Raiser’s Edge and related event planning and fundraising software.
