  • Job Summary:**
We are looking for a Housekeeping Inspector with good work ethic, a positive attitude, drive, and a willingness to take initiative. As an Inspector, you will examine rooms prior to guest arrivals to ensure readiness and to conduct inspections upon guest departure to assess if any damages have occurred. You will function as the primary contact between housekeeping personnel and other staff members to make certain that rooms are ready for guests.
  • Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
  • Thorough inspection of guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet company standards.
  • Ensure all elements of guest rooms are in working order.
  • Communicate with Maintenance to supply work orders for needed repairs.
  • Perform deep-cleaning inspections to company standards.
  • Liaison between Housekeeping department and Guest Services.
  • Carry out special needs and requests of the guests, VIP’s and repeat visitors when necessary.
  • Developing and training other housekeeping staff.
Note that this is not an inclusive list and team members are at times asked to assist with other tasks to best serve the business. Other tasks may be assigned by the Executive Housekeeping Manager or other managers.
  • Job Requirements**
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality, or hotel management is a plus.
  • 1 years hotel housekeeping inspector experience.
  • Familiar with industry best practices.
Skills & Abilities
  • Commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Ability to work under pressure, be calm, organized, self-motivated, and work well with others.
  • Ability to read, speak and understand English in order to follow directions, and procedures, and communicate with the team (using a translator app if necessary).
  • Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely with minimal supervision.
  • Working Conditions**
Equipment To Be Used
  • Various cleaning tools including vacuums, mops, brooms, dusters, and chemicals.
  • Washer, dryer, and iron when necessary.
Physical & Mental Requirements
  • Maintain regular and punctual on-site attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business requires
  • Stand and walk off and on throughout the shift. Walk up/down stairs.
  • Bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces. Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.
  • Perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally.
  • Professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing and sometimes stressful work environment.
Work Environment
  • While primarily an indoor job, one must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Will work primarily in guest rooms as well as public areas and laundry room on occasion.

Hourly Pay
  • $16.00 per hour full-time. Overtime will be paid at time and a half for any hours over 40 in a week.
  • Sign-on bonus: $250 awarded after 3 months of employment and an additional $250 will be awarded after 6 months of employment.
