Position: Patient Coordinator / Dental Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting and welcoming patients with a friendly demeanor.
• General office duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling payments.
• General back office duties including: sterilization, room set up's and breakdowns, and seating patients.
• Preparation of patients' charts and daily schedules for the dental team.
• Ensuring patient records accurately reflect the latest treatments and procedures.
• Presenting treatment plans and facilitating financial arrangements with patients.
• Communication with dental insurance providers to determine co-payment requirements.
• Verification and input of patient insurance information, including coverage tables.

Requirements:

• Sound knowledge of dental terminology.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Ability to work some evening hours and Saturdays.

Nice to Have:

• Proven experience in a dental office
• Proficiency in dental practice management software; experience with Open Dental software is a plus.
• Experience with PPO insurance claims submission and breakdowns.
• Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
