Country View Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to become the next member of our team.

We’re ideally looking to fill a full-time role (4-10s or 5-8s), however, we’re also open to part-time. Candidates must be open to providing rotating Saturday coverage. In this role, your home base will be Country View Veterinary Clinic and this position will include coverage at our locations in Urbana and Tolono.

The ideal candidate:

• LVT or Credentialed Veterinary Technician 2 years of hands-on experience
• Thrives in a fast-paced, team-centered environment

Responsibilities:

• Providing low-stress animal handling and restraint
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance
• Dental prophylaxis and radiographs
• Blood draws and IV catheter placement
• Injection and medication administration
• Digital radiography
• Microscopic evaluation – setting up and evaluation of blood films for platelet estimates, fecal cytology, ear cytology, and skin cytology
• Pharmacy duties, along with an ability to accurately perform drug calculations
• Monitoring hospital flow and team coordination
• Ensuring that safety protocols are followed
• Advanced client communication and education

Qualifications:

• LVT in the state of Illinois or ability and willingness to gain licensing
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability to work rotating Saturday shifts

Full-time benefits:

• Compensation: $18.00 to $23.00/hour (based on experience)
• Bonus Package: $2000.00 (with proof of current credentialing)
