Candidates must obtain and hold a yellow card throught the state of Indiana. This allows the driver to transport Special Education students in the state of Indiana.
Job Requirements:
1. Take and pass all assessments involved in the Indiana Department of Education's three day pre-service class
2. Pass a physical (Frontier School Corporation will reimburse for the cost of the physical)
3. Observe four (4) hours with a Frontier School Corporation Bus Driver holding a CDL
4. Drive eight (8) hours with a Frontier School Corporation Bus Driver holding a CDL
5. Take the annual safety class from the Indiana Department of Education prior to December 31, 2021.
6. Be able to communicate effectively with students
7. Be able to maintain discipline on the bus while driving
8. Be able to do trouble shooting for minor maintanence issues on the bus
9. Board the bus and walk to the back of the bus. At the back of the bus, get out the back door.
