Peak Sport and Spine Physical Therapy is Hiring a Certified Athletic Trainer Near Centralia, MO

Position Summary

Peak Sport and Spine is looking for a Certified Athletic Trainer. Functions would include, but not limited to the following. Administering minor rehabilitation treatments as allowed by local and state law. Communicate, cooperate, and give assistance in a prompt and courteous manner to patients, college associates and athletes, co-workers, and medical staff. Notify appropriate personnel of any depletion of supplies. Provide athletic injury evaluation, immediate care, and assists with referral of injured athletes in accordance with generally accepted principles of athletic training services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work collectively with the Athletic Director with overall administration of the athletic training program.
  • Work clinical hours with Peak Sport and Spine as needed.
  • Provide sports medicine coverage during practices and home events/contests.
  • Evaluate, treat and rehab injuries sustained by student-athletes.
  • Assist in organizing physical examinations.
  • Maintain medical records on all athletes.
  • Track student-athlete injuries and treatments using injury-tracking software.
  • Design and implement both preventive and rehabilitative programs for student athletes.
  • Communicate effectively with coaches, athletes and physicians.
  • Act as liaison between student-athletes and their parents to insurance companies and doctor's offices; refer and schedule doctor's appointments when needed.
  • Coordinate medical insurance claims.
  • Willingness to become an Approved Clinical Preceptor providing Athletic Training students with supervision and instruction during their clinical rotation.
  • Abide by NATA code of ethics.
  • Responsibly manage a budget.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
