Responsibilities of a Activity Aide :
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents
- Engage residents in social, physical, and cognitive activities to promote overall well-being
- Set up activity areas and ensure supplies are readily available
- Collaborate with the activities team to develop a diverse and enjoyable activity calendar
- Provide companionship and support to residents during activities
Qualifications of a Activity Aide :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Passion for working with seniors and a genuine interest in recreational therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
