Responsibilities:
- Perform utility locating to identify the location of existing underground utilities
- Set up and prepare concrete forming for pipe installation
- Lay and align pipes in trenches according to specifications
- Ensure pipes are properly leveled and plumb
- Connect pipes using appropriate fittings and joints
- Install and test pipeline systems for leaks or other issues
- Operate forklift or other equipment to transport materials and equipment as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Pipelayer or in a related role preferred
- Familiarity with oil and gas pipeline construction is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
- Knowledge of different pipe materials, fittings, and joining methods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions
