Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Enter orders into the POS system (Point of Sale)
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions about the menu
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on their needs throughout their dining experience
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a POS system (e.g., Aloha POS)
- Knowledge of culinary terms, ingredients, and menu items
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively
- Ability to upsell menu items and provide recommendations to enhance the guest experience
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient service
- Attention to detail when handling food to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
