Position SummaryThe Marathon Catlettsburg Refinery is seeking qualified applicants to fill full-time Machinist/Millwright positions at our Catlettsburg, KY refinery. Machinists/Millwrights perform maintenance and repairs to refinery machinery – pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, gearboxes, etc.
Starting pay rate for this role is $50.89/hr with contractual rate increases.Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair refinery machinery.
- Shop and field repair to refinery machinery including but not limited to pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, gearboxes.
- Perform maintenance per established written procedures.
- Use drawings, equipment manuals, procedures, and proper tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Documents work performed in test forms and condition/repair reports.
- Use precision measuring tools common to the trade.
- Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, balancers, drill presses, overhead jibs, bridge cranes, forklifts as well as other machinery.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Five years of experience as a Machinist/Millwright in industrial mechanical maintenance is preferred
- Five years of experience in refining, chemical, power industry, or related military experience is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.) are required.
- Successful completion of a skills assessment is required.
SAFETYMachinists/Millwrights work in a safety-sensitive environment and must successfully complete a rigorous pre-employment assessment process, drug/alcohol and medical screenings, and a background check.
SCHEDULEMachinists/Millwrights will work a 4/10-day shift schedule or a 12-hr rotating day/night schedule and must be available for overtime as required.
