Human Resource Specialist

Position Description
Position: Human Resource Specialist
Reports To: Controller
Job Duties & Characteristics:
Primary Job Duties:
Responsible for the onboarding of all new hires, specific duties include:
Initial set-up of new hire in ADP Workforce Now. All data must be entered accurately and formatted correctly.
Initiate ADP registration and onboarding email.
Monitor onboarding progress to ensure timely completion.
Update and maintain the Onboarding Progress Report spreadsheet.
Provide support by phone, Zoom and email to new hires who are having difficulty completing their onboarding.
Assist recruiters with SmartSearch “Hire Trak” issues.
Add EEOC data to ADP Workforce Now.
Confirm each new hire has provided clear pictures of acceptable documents to complete their I-9 form.
Complete E-Verify for all new hires.
Issue Rapid! Paycard to new hires not using Direct Deposit.
Review and return “ACE Details” email to branch in a timely manner.
Review and transfer new hire and termination data from ACE to Great Plains.
Respond to State Unemployment Claims and Disputes.
Secondary Job Duties:
Preparing and distributing weekly Activity Reports.
Maintain an awareness of Human Resource compliance issues
Support corporate projects as requested.
Provide backup and assistance to Accounting/Finance team.

Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, HR or similar field of study OR 2 years plus of relevant work experience (Supporting payroll or business operations).
Previous HR, onboarding and payroll experience in a high volume, multi-state business is preferred.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to verbally communicate fluently in English and Spanish is preferred.
Experience with popular business software (Word, Excel & creating PDF Forms containing required fields and radio buttons) is desired.
