Job Description: As a Bartender at Zest Sushi and Small Plates, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. You will work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Beverage Preparation:
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.
• Create signature cocktails and contribute to the development of the beverage menu.
• Ensure all beverages are presented attractively and meet quality standards.
• Customer Service:
• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive and friendly service.
• Take beverage orders accurately and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Bar Operations:
• Set up and stock the bar with necessary supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the shift.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor bar inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to management.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of all bar stock.
• Cash Handling:
• Process payments accurately and efficiently using the restaurant’s point-of-sale system.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and handle cash responsibly.
• Balance the cash register at the end of each shift.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Assist in training new bar staff as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Promotion and Engagement:
• Promote daily specials, events, and promotions to guests.
• Engage with guests to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Stay informed about menu changes, including food and beverage items.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bartender in a high-quality restaurant or bar.
• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes, techniques, and trends.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and handling cash transactions.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Familiarity with Asian cuisine and beverages is a plus.
