Prime Lube - Who We Are

Prime Lube is a family owned and operated company. Founded in Carteret, New Jersey in 1987, Prime Lube began with two trucks and a goal to provide high-quality oils and lubricants to help move the machinery of business. Eventually those two trucks became 40 and, today, we are the premier lubricant distributor in the Northeast United States. Prime Lube has expanded to manufacturing and distribution of Diesel Exhaust Fluid nationwide.

Duties and Responsibilities

Schedule

Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles. This person will be responsible for Cash Application and Daily Bank Reconciliation. Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment. Must be able to effectively prioritize work to maximize performance. Ability to work independently.

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

• Process bank transactions
• Process and accurately apply all incoming payments to customer accounts from various sources including: Checks, Credit Cards, Daily Cash, Wire Transfers
• Reconcile cash accounts daily to ensure all items are accounted for
• Reconcile bank statements
• Manage loaned equipment recording and tracking
• Manage excel spreadsheets
• Print weekly check runs
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4 years of experience in similar role
• Ability to exercise sound judgement, and independent thinking.
• Intermediate data entry skills
• Working knowledge of MS Word/Excel
• Working knowledge of SAGE 100 (MAS 90) a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented, self-organized and flexible

Pay: $21.50 - $23.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
