Job Summary
The Deputy Sheriff is employed by the county. He or she acts in a role similar to city police in a municipal department. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent is required. One to two years of experience and POST Board Certification preferred but not required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
An applicant who is a resident of North Dakota and eligible to claim veterans’ preference must abide by the Department of Veterans Affairs guidelines and submit any documentation with an otherwise complete application. Foster County is an Equal Opportunity Employer
