What You'll Do:
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch, adhering to best practices and standards.
Create effective user interfaces and engaging user experiences for WordPress websites and applications.
Regularly test and implement software updates related to WordPress core, plugins, or themes.
Collaborate with our Creative Team to deliver cohesive digital solutions that meet business objectives.
Conduct thorough UI/UX research, including user interviews, usability testing, and competitor analysis, to inform design decisions.
Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and accessibility across various devices and browsers.
Implement SEO best practices to enhance website visibility and ranking on search engines.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in WordPress development and UI/UX design.
Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution and a smooth user experience.
Work using Agile development methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field.
3 years proven experience as a WordPress Full Stack Developer.
Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, & JavaScript frameworks.
Strong knowledge of WordPress, Headless WordPress, and PHP.
Hands on experience with the development of WordPress themes, plugins & widgets.
Familiarity with WP related technologies:
WP REST API
theme.json
Gutenberg Editor
Hooks/filters
OOP PHP
Composer
PHP Code Quality tools
Strong Understanding of WordPress architecture, customization, and security best practices.
Solid grasp of UX/UI principles and design methodologies with experience using tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, and Figma.
Experience with frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g.TailWind and React) and version control systems (e.g. Git or DevOps).
Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) and SEO techniques.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote and in person teams.
The ability to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced agile environment.
