Independently owned community bank seeking friendly, customer service minded individual to handle banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash drawer balancing, account opening and closing procedures, and general banking inquiries.
Bank Teller Job Responsibilities:
Serves customers by completing account transactions.
Bank Teller Job Duties:
Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; opening new accounts; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night deposits; selling cashier's checks, and money orders; answering questions in person or on telephone; referring to other bank services.
Records transactions by logging cashier's checks, money orders, and other special services; preparing currency transaction reports.
Promotes bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of services and any promotions; ascertaining customers' needs through general conversation; directing customers to appropriate bank employees for further questions. WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN "SALES GOALS"!
Completes special requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; opening and closing Christmas clubs; providing special statements, copies, and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures.
Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to main branch; maintaining supply of cash and currency.
Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions; auditing other tellers' currency; assisting in certification of proof.
Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
Employee should have reasonable comfort level with basic computer functions like typing, Microsoft products and email.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing tasks in an efficient and timely manner to ensure all necessary procedures run smoothly.

Hours:
We are looking for both a full time or a part time hire at this time. Work weeks are Monday through Friday with five mandatory Saturdays over three months. If you are interested in part time, the schedule would be Monday, Tuesday and Fridays with the Friday being a "late night" until 6pm.
Employees will be scheduled to arrive half an hour prior to the opening of the branch in which they are working and work approximately fifteen to thirty minutes following the closing of the branch.'
