We are looking for a highly motivated, dog-loving individual who is ready to learn some new skills and help us grow in this permanent position. Qualified candidates must be available at least 4 days per week. Our hours are 6:30am to 7pm Monday-Friday. We are closed on weekends, but have a couple weekend special events throughout the year.

You must be comfortable around a variety of sizes and breeds of dogs, working outside and inside in a variety of weather conditions, be able to lift 50# unassisted, be willing to stand on your feet most of the shift, and interact freely with the dogs, including but not limited to assisting with feeding, clean up, bathing and dispensing medications.

Essentials of a strong candidate are:

- willing to communicate frequently and quickly

- reliable transportation

- a desire to grow, learn, and pursue in-depth education on dog behavior and training

We are looking for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalency, no less than 2 years of trained volunteer or professional dog handling experience, who are willing to work hard and not be afraid to get a little dirty every day. This is a permanent position, 30-35 hours a week to begin.

This is an excellent position to advance, with potential for management advancement for the right candidate. Pay begins at $12.30/hour for aides and more with previous dog day care experience.
