Child Care Assistant at Sensory Escape
Job Description:
Sensory Escape seeks a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our team. This individual will support the daily operations of our sensory gym, providing care and supervision to neurodiverse children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising children during sensory play to ensure safety and engagement.
- Help set up and maintain sensory and quiet rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-organized.
- Guide families and caregivers on the use of sensory equipment and activities.
- Support children with additional needs, helping them to utilize the sensory rooms fully.
- Monitor and document children’s progress and participation in activities.
- Collaborate with the Sensory Coordinator and other staff to provide a welcoming experience for all guests.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures within the gym.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably those with additional needs such as autism.
- Understanding of sensory challenges and a passion for helping neurodiverse children.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage commensurate with experience.

Pay: $14.61 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
