Complete Staffing Solutions is Hiring a Purchasing Specialist Near Canton, MA
- Full time position
- Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
- Primary focus will be managing the purchasing process, including orders and transfers between our eight branches.
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers while monitoring performance metrics
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and other factors
- Analyze pricing trends, market conditions and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate closely with vendors, sales team, and warehouse management to ensure timely delivery of materials, mitigating any potential stock shortages
- Forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels to meet organizational needs while minimizing surplus
- Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies to enhance inventory levels, reduce stockouts, and minimize carrying costs while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, demonstrating a solid understanding of purchasing processes.
- Generate and manage transfers and purchase orders across our eight locations
- Obtain quotes and proposals from suppliers and evaluate them to select the most suitable options
- Identify inefficiencies in purchasing process and implement improvements to streamline operations and increase efficiency
- Utilize Technology to enhance workflows and reduce manual tasks
- Maintain an updated product database with accurate pricing and detailed product catalogue information
- Verify and implement price changes promptly, resolving any discrepancies with vendors as needed
- Facilitate the addition of new or existing products to branch inventories based on manager requests
- Exceptional organizational abilities coupled with a keen intellect and a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, with the ability to manipulate data efficiently and effectively.
- Self-motivated individual with the capacity to work autonomously and make informed decisions.
- Prior experience within the pipes, valves, and fittings (PVF) industry is preferred but not required.
