Galvin Middle School is Hiring a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Near Canton, MA
This position is for student school days at the Galvin Middle School 7:30-2:30. This candidate will work closely with a middle school student daily in an effort to provide them with the physical support needed to maintain safety at all times in the school environment.
Responsibilities include:
-Assist and provide supervision for the student with personal care tasks, including but not limited to, assistance in the bathroom, clothing adjustments and hygiene routines.
-Provide monitoring/supervision as designated in students health care plan.
-Accompany student to assigned locations within the building including lunch period, assisting with obtaining student's lunch in the cafeteria and providing help as needed.
-Accompany student on field trips/activities during the school day.
-Provide academic support, aiding with note taking and classroom tasks as needed.
-Facilitate transitions via wheelchair or mobility; assist student to and from transportation upon arrival to school and at dismissal.
-Mobility support, working with adaptive equipment as needed to promote student safety.
-Assist with other tasks as directed by the Nurse Leader and GMS nurses.
