As a Field Service Engineer II, you will lead successful on-site servicing, calibration, repair, and installation processes of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision. The Field Service Engineer II will validate, move, decommission, reconnect, and verify that the complex equipment is operating properly (with guidance and direction from GE union staff). You must be able to have a brief knowledge of SCADA and PLC systems into customer’s processes, stand alone programming, installation, and incorporations of these systems. A main duty of this particular position is the ability to perform instrument calibrations, Temperature Uniformity Studies (TUS) and System Accuracy Tests (SAT’s) on customers working and process instrumentation. A working knowledge and familiarity to ISO17025 and AMS2750 will be learned by training from written specification and OJT training with current site technician. Strong organizational and documentation skills and practices are required.
This is a hands-on role responsible for troubleshooting, set-up and breakdown of analytical equipment (ex: industrial heat treating and thermal processing equipment).
Your duties will encompass not only the hands-on implementation and functional testing, but also the crucial oversight and coordination of electrical, instrumentation and controls.
*This role will be 100% onsite with a customer in Lynn MA. Primary office will be home based remote when not at customer site.
