Oxford Solutions is Hiring a Senior Electrical Designer Near Canonsburg, PA
The ideal candidate will have a 15 or more years of electrical design experience along with ability to independently lead new projects. Prior experience in energy or power sector would be a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee the electrical design process for various projects, including but not limited to offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing, and refining industry projects.
- Independently manage new projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and cost-effective electrical design solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineers.
- Review and approve electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Interface with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise as needed.
- Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and site visits as required.
- Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Associate's Degree in electrical engineering field preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on the energy or power sector.
- AutoCAD software experience required.
- PDMS software experience preferred.
- Extensive experience in offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing, or refining industry projects.
- Proven ability to lead small to medium-sized projects independently.
- Proficiency in relevant electrical design software and tools.
- Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
