We are currently searching for candidates to fill a contract position in our Procurement department reporting to the VP of Supply Chain and PMO.
Responsibilities :
- Participates in standard buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials. Expedites as needed.
- Serves as liaison between vendors and users, getting prior approval for purchases in excess of established limits.
- Resolves standard delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices.
- Supports in updating project plans and purchasing systems.
- Reviews and analyzes requisitions and supply plans for domestic and international purchases.
- Supports in the preparations of requests for quotes and assists in the development of new supply sources.
- Independently performs basic tasks and functions for professional field of work; seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from others;
Identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve non-complex problems.
Education / Experience / Knowledge / Skills :
- BS / BA in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrates basic knowledge and principles of field of specialization
- Typically up to 2 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
- SAP Experience, strongly preferred
