Oxford Solutions is Hiring a Mechanical Piping Designer Near Canonsburg, PA
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize CadWorx software to design and develop mechanical piping systems.
- Create detailed drawings and layouts of parts and assemblies.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in design.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions.
- Conduct field surveys and gather relevant data for project planning and execution.
- Generate technical specifications and documentation for procurement and installation.
- Review and verify drawings for compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to address design-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Associate's degree from a Technical Institution preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Mechanical Piping Designer including field experience
- Experience in offshore oil & gas, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage and transportation, chemical manufacturing or refining industry
- AutoCAD software experience required
- Proficiency in CADWorx and PDMS software is essential.
- Strong understanding of mechanical piping systems and design principles.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
