Job Summary:

Hello! We are seeking friendly and hardworking folks to join our team! Elk Creek Coffee is a brand new coffee shop, opening in mid-June in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Our goal at Elk Creek Coffee is to cultivate a sense of community, make everyone feel welcome, and provide the best service possible, all while crafting the highest quality beverages and baked goods. We want Elk Creek Coffee to be a place where both staff and customers feel at home.

Hours of business will be 7am-1pm, 5 days a week (we will be closed two weekdays every week, these are still being determined)

Duties:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages with precision and care

- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, previous experience with POS systems is a plus!

- Engage with customers in a friendly and personable manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere

- Demonstrate a keen attention to detail in every aspect of coffee preparation, from grinding beans to steaming milk and creating latte art

- Maintain cleanliness and organization, including restocking supplies as needed

-Contribute to a positive team dynamic by communicating effectively with fellow baristas and supporting each other during busy periods.

- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly

- Follow health and safety regulations at all times

Skills:

- Prior experience working as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred, but not required.

- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food service regulations

- Basic understanding of retail math for cash handling

- Familiarity with food safety guidelines in the food industry

- Ability to prepare various coffee beverages to meet customer preferences

- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality control of beverages and food items

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with customers

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
