The Department of Corrections (DOC) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team at the Public Safety Information Technology (IT) Delivery Center. You will use your technical expertise to provide onsite and remote support for all greater Philadelphia Parole and Community Correction locations. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As an Information Technology Generalist 1, you will be responsible for supporting the IT systems of DOC. You can expect to provide support to employees, contract staff, and inmate networked computers, including hardware and software applications. You will receive calls for assistance, provide information, and perform diagnostic procedures to troubleshoot hardware and software problems. You will either resolve the problem, contact technical staff, or arrange for vendor service, then follow up to ensure the work is completed appropriately. Additionally, you will configure computers to meet DOC specifications, obtain approvals to install various programs, and observe system functions to verify correct system operation. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.You will be required to travel to the Philadelphia area.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 1 day per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
