Manufacturing Engineer - $65k per year
In this exciting role, your passion for woodworking and a strong appreciation for high-quality craftsmanship will be key to optimizing our client's manufacturing processes. This is a direct hire position in Cameron, Texas.
You'll leverage your engineering expertise and woodworking knowledge to ensure efficient production of top-quality furniture. This hands-on role will see you working directly on the factory floor, collaborating with production associates and managers to identify and implement improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC woodshop machinery, ensuring smooth operation and efficient production.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows and optimize production cell designs.
- Plan, execute, and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and objectives.
- Develop and deliver training programs to equip employees with the skills and knowledge to implement Lean concepts.
- Investigate and resolve production issues through root cause analysis, implementing sustainable solutions to prevent future occurrences.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field - 1 years of directly related experience in a manufacturing environment- open to internships from manufacturing experience only- Seeking someone with a passion for continuous improvement and knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and MRP systems
- Hands-on problem-solving skills and a mechanical aptitude
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Transferable Skills:
While the ideal candidate will have direct experience in wood furniture manufacturing, we welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills from other industries, such as:
- Industrial Engineers with a background in efficiency and process improvement.
- Manufacturing Technicians with strong problem-solving and mechanical skills.
