We are seeking a skilled Analytics Consultant with expertise in loan and mortgage analysis to join our team. This role is based in Charlotte, NC, and involves working with a large financial services client. The ideal candidate will use their analytical skills and industry knowledge to provide insights and solutions that drive business decisions and optimize our client's loan and mortgage operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to loan and mortgage portfolios.
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Build predictive models and conduct forecasting to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Analyze and assess risks associated with loan and mortgage products, providing recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of loan and mortgage operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to gather requirements, share findings, and support data-driven decision-making.
Ensure all analytical activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Maintain detailed documentation of analytical methodologies, processes, and findings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in analytics, particularly within the loan and mortgage industry.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Understanding of mortgage and loan products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
