Job Title: Extrusion

Shifts: 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am, $17/hr 

Employbridge is looking for Extruder Operators in the Calhoun, Ga areas! These operators will be expected to set up, operate, shuts down and clean a production extruder, mixer and other equipment in the Rigid Core process. Mix thermoplastic materials in the form of powder with semiautomated feeding systems into the extrusion machine. Then measure and test completed products it to make sure that it conforms to specifications.

Responsibilities: 

Perform Quality Checks – In-Process and Extruded/Laminated Product

Understand scheduling computer interface and have visual acuity with attention to detail.

Ability to follow recipes accurately and weigh, prepare, and transfer batch material into a vacuum loader.

Monitor and record mixer performance and mix quality and track batch data.

Perform maintenance and set up functions for dye, lamination, and extruder systems.

Previous knowledge with basic hand tools to perform general maintenance of machinery.

Operate overhead Gantry crane to load/unload rolls of product.

Flexible to rotate between extruder and mixer machines/positions.

May need to support Urethane Operators when needed.

Flexible for cross training in other departments/machinery for relief and support.

Qualifications:

Wear PPE – gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel or composite safety shoes

Available for Overtime and extended shift hours when required.

Ability to understand and remain compliant in safety guidelines and procedures

Adhere to all 5S and good housekeeping standards, cleaning work area/ equipment throughout shift and end of shift.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout 8-12 hr shift.

Ability to bend, squat, and kneel to perform normal line operator functions.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
