Vallivue School District is seeking several full time special education para professionals to work 7.5 hrs per school day for the 2024-25 School Year under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher and network with their colleagues. Resource paras typically work with the special education teachers by supporting students in their general education classrooom as well as help students with organizational skills. They may also instruct small instructional groups(4-5 students) under the guidance of the special education teacher. Extended Resource Paras typically work in one classroom with the teacher and 3-4 other paras to help students work on life skills and functional academic skills. They also accompany students to their general education classes including specials like PE, Art, Music and Computers. Behavior Paras typically work with students on developing appropriate coping strategies and social skills under the guidance of the special education teacher.
