The State of Maine Judicial Branch welcomes motivated law enforcement officers and those seeking to become law enforcement officers to join our dedicated team in serving the communities of Maine within the court system. The Office of Judicial Marshals is a law enforcement agency that plays an important role in our communities by providing a safe, accessible, efficient, and impartial system of dispute resolution. Judicial Branch employees all support this mission, in their various roles. We have 31 courts across the state where we process over 130,000 cases each year in support of Maine’s almost 1.4 million residents.
The Job:
The State of Maine Judicial Branch is seeking certified law enforcement officers and other highly qualified individuals who seek to become certified law enforcement officers, from diverse backgrounds for an exciting and challenging career as a Deputy Judicial Marshal. This position is a certified law enforcement position tasked with providing a safe and secure experience for judges, court staff, court participants, and members of the public while enjoying a full-time work schedule that allows for work life balance.

Salary Range:
Grade 11, $22.51 to $29.31 per hour. Starting pay is $22.51 - $23.60 per hour.
A 3% cost of living increase is scheduled for July 2024.
