City of Calabasas is Hiring a Fitness Staff Near Calabasas, CA
- Develops and implements strength training programs for members of the facility.
- Utilizes resources of information to enhance members understanding of fitness and healthy habits.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with members.
- Administers facility and equipment orientations to members, as scheduled.
- Assists with member retention as needed.
- Maintains and cleans equipment and facility.
- Attends regular meetings with staff and supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Personal computers and related software.
- Office methods and procedures.
- English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Record keeping principles and procedures.
- Operate a variety of office equipment including personal computer and related software.
- Understand and follow verbal and written direction.
- Deal with the public in person or on the telephone.
- Educational background in physical education and previous experience with weight training helpful.
- Requires vision (which may be corrected) to read small print.
- Requires mobility of arms to reach and dexterity of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects.
- Lower body mobility may not be required.
- Performs lifting, pushing and/or pulling which does not exceed 50 pounds and is an infrequent aspect of the job.
- Subject to inside environmental conditions.
- May be required to work at a video display terminal for prolonged periods.
