Urban Community School is Hiring a Food Service Assistant (Part-Time / Temporary) Near Cleveland, OH

Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs duties for food preparation as required by the Food Service Director.
- Maintains sanitation standards.
- Follows the manager's instruction in producing and serving food to meet federal and state nutritional standards.
- Interprets menus to ensure that Standards for Nutrition are being met.
- Exhibits the ability to prepare food in large quantities independently.
- Maintains required forms and records as assigned by the manager.
- Completes general cleaning of food service areas.
- Accepts responsibility for stocking shelves and cleaning.
- Exhibits the ability to serve food in quantities and effectively.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
- Service-oriented.
- Resourceful with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to participate in skills enhancement and professional development.
- Maintains a positive, welcoming attitude.
- Prior experience in the service industry is preferred.
- FBI/BCI background check required.
- Must have good dexterity with ability to lift up to 30 pounds and transfer short distances
- Must have the ability to push, pull, carry, climb, balance and kneel and the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time preparing and serving food.
- Competitive hourly wage ($13.50 per hour)
