Overview Expected pay for this position is $26.46 - $31.13 / hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY : The Hospice Pastoral Care staff member is responsible for providing spiritual and emotional support and counseling to patients / families within the boundaries of the patient / family desires and belief system.
The Bereavement Coordinator works closely with other members of the hospice team in assisting with holistic care of patients and families.
Provides individual and group counseling, facilities grief support group, and coordinates memorial services. The Bereavement Coordinator shall demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the emotional and psychosocial needs from all age groups.
Responsible for making visits in various settings, and working evenings or weekends when assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Education
Required : Clinical pastoral education (CPE) training and experience in working with life threatening illness and death. Experience
Knowledge of Catholic sacramental of moral theology.
Preferred : Chaplain certification with NACC or APC Required - Provides own transportation and auto insurance and abides by all laws, rules and recommendations for safe driving while on duty.
Maintains a valid driver’s license. Other skills or knowledge
