Harrington Bottling is Hiring an Equipment Service Technician Near Butte, MT

Job Description

Harrington Pepsi has a full-time opening for an Equipment Service Technician in Butte, MT. We are seeking a motivated, responsible, and positive individual to interact with our customers and install, service, and repair beverage coolers, vending machines, fountains, and other appliances. Equipment Service Technicians jobs may vary in location depending on the day of the week and they may be local or out of town; limited weekend, on-call, and after-hours work may be required. During the day, the Equipment Service Technician will work independently with limited supervision. We are interested in individuals with strong work ethic, customer service skills, and ambition to move up.

The Equipment Service Technician position requires kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling and bending when servicing and installing equipment. The job often requires the individual to work in small areas and climb stairs and steps.

This position is a member of IAM Union.

Salary: $15.00 to $16.33 / Hour DOE

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Communicates and coordinates on a daily basis with the MEM manager to discuss any market concerns that need to be addressed or followed up on.
  • Effectively interacts with customers to address service issues and communicates any remaining customer issues or concerns with MEM manager.
  • Utilizes tools and diagnostic equipment to install, service, and repair beverage coolers, vending machines, fountains and other appliances.
  • Utilizes tools and diagnostic equipment such as wattmeter, ammeter, or voltmeter to diagnose equipment during operating cycle to detect malfunctions, excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks, and loose parts. Once diagnosed completes the repairs in a professional and timely manner.
  • Loads, unloads, transports and installs vendors, coolers, special event units and other equipment and appliances for use at Customer locations.
  • Makes collections for delivered products and services as directed by supervisors.
  • Coordinates and facilitates the delivery and return of special events, and the related activities around the events including promotional materials before and during the events as needed to insure appropriate market presence.
  • Maintains a clean and organized shop area.
  • Logs all work and time allocated to working on equipment thru the Work Order process in SAP.
  • Assures all paper work is done correctly for repairs, installs, and any additional work requiring documentation per the MEM department supervisor.
  • Completes forms, and reports required for documents sales and service activities. Including National Account Program Customers preventative maintenance and service calls.
  • Checks all after hour messages as required. Determines if call is sales or service related and contacts the appropriate personnel from a predetermined call list.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's license

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Able to perform data entry on computer system by responding to screen prompts using Ten-Key and keyboard data entry procedures.
  • SAP training
  • Refrigeration Certification
  • Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge
