Ohman Family Living is Hiring a Med Tech Near Burton, OH

Medication Aide Job Purpose:

The Medication Aide position at Ohman Family Living at Holly's Assisted Living ensures our residents receive timely and accurate medication administration in a safe and compassionate manner. The Medication Aide will work under the guidance of a nurse to administer medications and document pertinent medical information regarding patient care.

Medication Aide Roles:

  • Medication Pass: Administers prescribed medications to residents within the certified medical aide authorization scope.
  • Documentation: Document pertinent medical information regarding the administration of meds and patient care under the guidance of a nurse.
  • Patient Assessments: Monitors vital signs or observes patient reactions to specific medications, documenting findings and promptly informing designated staff of any unforeseen reactions.
  • Patient Care: Provides hands-on patient care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and aiding in examinations and treatments.
  • Supplies and Equipment: Receives, records, and replenishes medication supplies for patient administration (excluding Schedule 2 narcotics).

Qualifications:

  • Have one year of work experience (preferred)
  • Possess Medication Aide Certification
  • Possess a State Tested Nursing Assistant license (preferred)
