This position grinds, mixes, freezes, palletizes and stores fish, chicken and other animal by-products. In addition, plant and equipment cleaning and maintenance are a component of this position. This position processes all incoming product from arrival to placement in cold storage (freezer) and is responsible for plant and equipment cleaning.

Job Responsibilities

· Inspects product for foreign materials and checks for odor/color.

· Process/grind product and distribute into plate freezers.

· Upon completion of the freeze cycle palletize the blocks of frozen product. The loaded pallet is weighed, wrapped, tagged and taken to the freezer for storage.

· Clean totes and lids.

· Disassemble and clean the grinding and pump equipment. Pressure wash and rinse the equipment, inspection table, mixer and distribution hose.

· These duties are inclusive and not exclusive; there may be other duties as assigned.

This position may require evening, weekend and shift work. In addition, working in cold conditions (as low as -10°) is required. Overtime, when necessitated, is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.19 - $24.31 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
