Overview:

As a cornerstone of our commitment to maintaining safe and hygienic environments, we are searching for an experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to lead our dedicated team. The Environmental Services Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Environmental Services Department, ensuring that our facilities are not only clean and safe but also operationally efficient. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with a keen eye for detail, a passion for process improvement, and a dedication to fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Environmental Services unit, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness and safety are consistently met. Conduct regular rounds to assess facility conditions and address any issues promptly.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Act as a liaison between the Environmental Services Department and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration to ensure seamless service delivery. Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Implement and enforce adherence to departmental standards, policies, and procedures, as well as relevant regulations. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization, utilizing Lean or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to assigned staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development. Foster a supportive and inclusive team environment, promoting accountability and continuous learning.
  • Financial Management: Assist in meeting financial targets by effectively managing personnel and resources. Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost containment or revenue generation. Participate in budgeting and planning processes as required.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in departmental goal-setting and planning activities, contributing insights and recommendations based on operational trends and business objectives. Prepare reports and analyses to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and calls from staff outside of regular operating hours, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of employees and facility occupants.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards, identifying areas of non-compliance or vulnerability and implementing corrective action plans as necessary to mitigate risk.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, responding promptly and courteously to inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders. Strive to exceed expectations and uphold the company's reputation for excellence.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent relevant experience in Environmental Services or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Environmental Services operations and workflows, as well as applicable regulations and requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, coaching, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service excellence.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
